Rio
Rio the cat, sits in my lap
paws on desk as I type
paws reaching out, out to keys
Cats can’t type
He doesn’t care
Not this cat
Just seeking connection
like everyone else
Following leads:
knowing hands
are the connection
Just reach out as I do
in reality, not electronically
A lesson to be learn
from my cat
To reach out
Is to touch
In reality

Personal Thoughts About the Poem
We can learn so much by just paying attention to the wisdom of life itself.
To be alive is to reach out.
