Chen Rong 1244
This has been said to be painted on one drunken night. This work of art is currently held by Museum of Fine Arts of Boston.
This piece is very beautiful. I can’t escape the metaphor of each of us passing through life. Sometimes I feel I am above the sea, sometimes below but how often do I remember that I am part of the sea?
It is where it is. At least it is there to be enjoyed by others. Countless works of art and Taoist books have been destroyed by various oppressive Chinese leaders especially in the last century.
At least it is somewhere to begin showing others different paths of seeing the world.
We are humanity… don’t get trapped by nationalities or other such judgements of where something should be, unless you know the true history, do not judge by your first reactions.
This is a chinese treasure…I wonder why the hell it is in Boston???
