I once wrote: the facts of history are not as important as the lessons of how we relate to the stories of history.
Any conflict based on history is a conflict based on lies and is a huge waste of time.
All history has lies within it, To base life purely upon historical context is to live ass-backward.
A very basic lesson of Taoism is Life now, and History are two separate stories.
Generally speaking when within conflict and a person/leader/media brings up history to cite and justify a cause: Then with 100% certainty, this is done to stir up emotions and perceptions to purposefully use history to create conflict for personal gain.
To gain inner peace, to promote world peace then learn this quick history lesson:
Drop the history lessons and make life now what it needs to be.
However, as most people desire some history, then discover a personal account and hold it close to the heart. You don’t need to validate your history by pushing it outward for some universal recognition of truth. The universe doesn’t care as the universe has already moved onward to the next event. The real universal truth is once you share any history, chances are you will also discover conflict due to differences in the story.
This is the base reason why so many people in academia are always fighting.
Human history is all about the personal choice of values to embrace, not some universal truth of what happened.
So learn to value life for life rather than stories that fade with time.
